Originally from New York, our client prides itself for combining directional, modern and urban designs with understanding the importance of quality, attention to detail and clean silhouettes. Launching their first store in Australia, the brand is seeking for a Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager based in Melbourne. The ideal candidate possesses a skill set that allows them to lead by example by managing store operations, ensuring exceptional customer experiences and driving profitability and top-line sales growth. In addition to meeting strategic business goals, successful Store Managers have the ability to coach and develop all associates and managers to meet their individual career goals while maintaining a collaborative and customer centric store environment.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Generate sales to achieve targets, managing and working with team to optimise outcomes
  • Ensure consistent execution of visual merchandising standards
  • Responsible for store schedule ensuring floor coverage at all times
  • Solution oriented, address problems proactively and with potential solutions
  • Ability to analyse sales report and data to determine needs of the business and provide input in setting strategies
  • Demonstrate excellent product knowledge across all brands
  • Communicate to staff brand values, clear action plans and priorities to achieve daily and monthly, ability to train and coach staff members
  • Ensure effective inventory management including stocktake, variances and recommendations for: full price seasonal & ongoing, markdown and damaged inventory
  • Establish and maintain customer loyalty by providing a memorable in-store experience
  • Work in conjunction with HQ in regards on operational tasks, budgets, ad hoc basis, analyse sales reports and data
  • Provide excellent post-sale service through follow ups, requests and feedbacks

Requirements and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years specialty retail experience with 3+ years in a Management role
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to use technology as a communication tool
  • Proven success of staff leadership and  sales experience in high conversion rate in a low foot traffic environment
  • Demonstrative experience in retail CRM; the ability to attract and nurture client relationships
  • Collaborative, proactive, attention to detail and responsible outlook
